ROUGH TERRAIN

The work presents a path in the mountains. The work was made on the theme VIA MAIELLA;. Each mountain gives us goods with which to fill our daily lives, and in order to carry these goods we need a path through which to get them. In this relief, I added a second material wood. I present logging and stone mining as methods for extracting some of the most necessary resources for art. Thanks to them, hundreds of artists have left their mark on history and strengthened their ideas. Some roads may no longer have the same purpose as in the past but they have also left their history and significance for future generations.

The work was created during the stone symposium in Lettomanoppello, Italy.
