ALEX IVANOVA SCULPTURE

A graduated bachelor with a degree in “Woodcarving”at the National academy of Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 2015 Aleksandrina chose to pursue a Masters’ degree in “Metalworking”, which at the time was uncharted territory for her. Her interest in combining materials only grew exponentially once she successfully attained her Masters in 2017.

During her master’s program, she became a member of FIDEM, and two years later (in 2018), she was accepted as a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists.
Her artistic objective has always been to hone her ability to combine various plastic materials, showcasing her playful take on sculpting.

Being a female in a field generally dominated by men, has inspired her concepts which gravitate around the themes of societal issues and draws inspiration from personal experiences.

Drawing on her experience in two plastic majors, Alexandrina explores horizons in almost every field of applied arts, with numerous works in relief, artistic plaque, small plastic forms, exterior plastic, and artistic furniture. The diversity of materials and approaches allows her work to reach an audience with a wide range of preferences.
